The Motorola Razr+ Gets a Peachy Makeover in 2024's Color of the Year

by Suzanne Kantra on December 07, 2023

Motorola makes a bold fashion statement with its Razr+ foldable phone, now available in Pantone's 2024 Color of the Year, Peach Fuzz. But it's not just about looks; the Razr+ also stands out as a strong contender in the foldable phone market, offering a unique blend of style and performance at an affordable price – usually $999, but currently on sale for $699 for a limited time.

According to Pantone, "Peach Fuzz captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others. It's a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul." You can decide for yourself whether Peach fuzz enriches your soul, but it definitely makes for a pretty classy color on the Razr+. It also stands out as the first and only smartphone in the U.S. available in this color.

Beyond aesthetics, the Razr+'s design is both durable and elegant. It features a tough Gorilla Glass Victus front and rear, with a matte finish in Peach Fuzz that resists fingerprints. The dual-hinge system, known as the Friction Hinge, allows for smooth folding and adds to the device's durability. When flat, the Razr measures just 6.99mm thick and 15.1mm when closed.

Like all foldable phones, the Razr+ is mostly about the display. When open, you’ll find a large 6.9-inch OLED boasting an impressive 165Hz refresh rate for gaming and HDR10+ support for movie watching. When folded, the cover screen is a significant part of the phone's lid at 3.6 inches.

Camera-wise, the Razr+ is equipped with a 12MP f/1.5 main camera featuring dual-pixel PD autofocus and optical image stabilization, alongside a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front-facing selfie camera. While not high-end, these specifications ensure solid performance in all but the most challenging lighting conditions.

Under the hood, the Razr+ is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. While not top-of-the-line, this configuration offers respectable power for most scenarios.

The device also features a 3800mAh battery, supported by 30W wired and 5W wireless charging, ensuring you stay connected throughout the day.

If you're looking for a phone that's as fashionable as it is functional, consider the Motorola Razr+ in Pantone's Peach Fuzz. It offers the technology essentials for a premium Android experience. Plus, it's priced attractively at just $699.
