LG's Bagless Vacuum Cleaners Make "Cakes" out of Debris

LG's first vacuum cleaners for the U.S. market, the LuV200 and LuV300, come packed with technology innovations.

The most interesting feature is the "Kompressor", a paddle that sweeps back and forth in the debris chamber compressing the waste into "cakes." The result is that the chamber can hold three times that of other vacuums with similar size waste bins. Plus, the cakes don't raise as much dust when you empty the bin.

On the LuV300 model, the cleaning wand has controls for remotely turning on and off the vacuum. That means when you're at the top of the stairs with the hose extended to its full 15-foot length, you don't have to run back down. The LuV300 also has an impressively long 40-foot cord (the LuV200's cord is a more standard 30 feet).

Both models also have HEPA filters.

The LuV300 ($399) and LuV200 ($299) will be available this spring.
