The YOGA Tab 3 Pro isn’t the only new and improved computer coming from Lenovo this year. Today at the IFA consumer electronics trade show in Berlin, the company also unveiled its new 12-inch ideapad MIIX 700, a two-in-one Windows 10 tablet device with a keyboard folio coming this holiday season.
The ideapad MIIX 700 has a pair of dual watchband hinges that easily let you transition between modes. You can use the MIIX 700 as a laptop, detach the keyboard to use it as a tablet or flip out the back of the device to use it in stand mode. Fortunately, the new Windows 10 is built to work well with these type of two-in-ones – it intelligently switches between laptop mode and a more live tile centric tablet mode based on its physical orientation.
Under the hood, the MIIX 700 can be configured with a sixth generation Intel Core m7, up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 MB of SSD storage. A 5-megapixel camera is built in for web conferencing, while its battery supports up to 9 hours worth of video playback. None of this adds serious heft to the device, though – the MIIX 700 weighs as little as 1.7 pounds.
The new Lenovo ideapad MIIX 700 starts at $749 and is expected to ship sometime in mid-November 2015. For more information, take a look at the brief video below shot by Techlicious. You can also learn more by visiting the Lenovo website.
