If you’ve been considering giving Amazon Prime a try, now may be the time. This Friday, September 25, the e-tail giant will reduce the price of a one-year Amazon Prime membership to $67, down from its current $99 price. The offer is good only for 24 hours, and can only be redeemed by new customers who have never before tried Prime.
Amazon Prime members get free two-day shipping (even on Sunday), use of the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library, access to the Prime Music streaming service and unlimited cloud photo storage. There are special one-day-only sales for Prime members, too, though this year’s Prime Day sale was widely written off as a disappointment.
Prime members can also get their fill of the Amazon Instant Video streaming service, with popular TV shows and movies such as Downton Abbey, How I Met Your Mother, Teen Wolf, Transformers: Age of Extinction and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Prime Instant Video is also the home to a number of original series, including the Emmy-award winning Transparent. The next season of Amazon Originals launches October 9 with the “coming-of-age dramedy” Red Oaks.
This sale starts promptly at 12:00 AM Eastern on September 25 and ends at 11:59 PM. To get the discounted price, you’ll need to sign up through Amazon.com/TransparentPrime. And if you want to give Prime a try, Amazon is also offering a 30-day free trial.

Too bad current Prime members can’t get a renewal at that price. :(

It is such a shame so many companies offer special promotions BUT forget there loyal customers. My suggestion: look else where….Amazon is not the only deal in the sky.

As a long time Prime member I am insulted to not be offered the same deal for my renewal. Where are the rewards for loyalty? How about some free movie rentals?
